Israel 2017 | 80 minutes | Hebrew

Iron Dome deals with one of the most urgent current issues in Israeli and Haredi society – Haredi enlistment to the IDF. The series offers the viewers an inside look into the Haredi world, while showing how the familiar IDF is changed by the inclusion of soldiers in shtreimels and payot. To their secular commanders they may all look the same at first – just Haredim – but this platoon comes in fifty shades of black: Lithuanian, national-Haredi, Breslov, Viznitz Hasidic and more. The Haredi soldiers face two fronts: one is with the secular world, and the other with the world they left behind.
